Ring Care Guide

Maintaining the Quality of Your New Ring:

Our rings are made with exceptional care and the finest materials to ensure their lasting beauty. To keep your new ring in top shape, it is important to follow these basic ring care instructions:

General Care for All Rings:

  • Avoid using harsh chemicals while wearing your ring.
  • Do not clean your ring with alcohol or citrus-based cleaners.
  • Refrain from using abrasive cleaning pads or scourers that may scratch some metals (sterling silver. stainless steel etc)
  • Use only jewellery cleaning solutions and polishing pastes, and steer clear of mechanical cleaning devices.
  • Regularly remove your ring from your finger and clean the inside to prevent the buildup of oils, acids, and sweat. If you experience skin irritation, remove the ring immediately.
  • Avoid hitting or striking your ring against hard surfaces to prevent scratches, shattering, breaking or chipping.
  • Store your ring safely in a jewellery box, ring box or padded draw when not in use.

Wooden Inlay Rings:

  • Do not expose wooden rings to prolonged water submersion. Make sure to dry the ring thoroughly after it gets wet.
  • Remove your wooden ring before swimming, bathing, washing dishes, etc.
  • Do not expose your wooden ring to excessive heat.

Resin Rings:

  • Chemicals such as bleach, chlorine, hand sanitisers, methylated spirits, and certain detergents may react negatively with the resin and cause it to crack or discolour.
  • Take your resin ring off before showering/bathing/swimming.
  • Be careful not bump or hit your resin ring as the polished surface may scratch.

Tungsten Carbide Rings:

  • Tungsten is a durable metal, but it is still important to avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials when cleaning your ring. Use a soft cloth and gentle soap to clean tungsten rings.
  • Tungsten rings are known for their strength and durability, but they can still break on impact. This is because tungsten is a brittle metal that may crack or shatter under pressure. When the ring is subjected to a sudden impact, the hard metal may not be able to absorb the force and will break instead. This is why it is important to avoid hitting tungsten rings against hard surfaces, striking them with hard objects or dropping them to prevent damage (just like any other type of ring – gold, silver, stainless steel etc).

Sterling Silver:

  • It is normal for sterling silver to tarnish over time. This isn’t a sign of inferior materials but instead is a natural occurrence. Regularly use a jewellery polish to remove the tarnish.
  • Remove during household chores to avoid contact with chemical or unwanted wear and tear.
  • Wash regularly with warm, ph neutral soapy water to remove oils, sweat etc to help protect its shine.
  • Avoid leaving your sterling silver ring in direct sunlight as this may cause accelerated tarnishing.
  • Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hairspray, makeup and other cremes etc as they may react and cause damage to your sterling silver ring.

Spinner Rings/Anxiety Rings:

  • To clean your spinner ring, submerge your ring in mild, ph neutral soapy water and manipulate the spinner backwards and forwards allowing the water flush any dirt or debris out from behind the spinner. Use a soft brush to assist with cleaning. Allow to soak up to 5 minutes. Dry thoroughly after washing.
  • You may lubricate spinner rings using an eco-friendly machine oil, vegetable oil or a silicone spray (use only if you do not have sensitive skin)

Rings with inlays, stones, jewels:

  • Do not subject any rings with inlays, stones or jewels to heat including direct sunlight, warm/hot water, cooking etc. Heat may affect the adhesive and cause the parts to separate.
  • Wash your ring regularly as build up of sweat and oils may react with the adhesives and cause them to dissolve.
  • Be careful not to subject your ring to any impact which may cause stones to fall out or bands to separate.
  • Clean with a soft brush.
  • Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hairspray, makeup and other cremes etc as they may react with the adhesives.

Warranty will not be honoured for any signs of misuse, improper cleaning, chemical or mechanical damage, or abrasions.
